Custom Channel Mapping
Custom channel mapping lets you define your own rules for how fraud0 categorizes incoming traffic. Custom rules take priority over the default channel definitions, so you can tailor channel names to match your internal reporting structure.
How to access Channel Mapping
Section titled “How to access Channel Mapping”- Open the Management area in the fraud0 interface.
- Select the tag you want to configure.
- Click the Channel Mapping tab.
Creating a mapping rule
Section titled “Creating a mapping rule”Click + New mapping to add a rule. Each rule consists of the following fields:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Parameter Name | The URL parameter or session dimension to evaluate (e.g. utm_source, utm_medium). |
| Options | The match condition to apply. See the list of available conditions below. |
| Parameter Value | The value to match against. |
| Fraud0 channel name | The channel name that will appear in fraud0 reports when the rule matches. |
Available match conditions
Section titled “Available match conditions”| Condition | Description |
|---|---|
| exactly matches | The parameter value must be an exact match. |
| is one of | The parameter value must match one of several specified values. |
| contains | The parameter value must contain the specified string. |
| starts with | The parameter value must start with the specified string. |
| ends with | The parameter value must end with the specified string. |

Combining conditions with AND
Section titled “Combining conditions with AND”You can combine multiple conditions within a single rule by clicking + And. All conditions must be met for the rule to match. For example, to create a channel called “GooglePaid” you could combine:
utm_sourcecontainsgoogle- AND
utm_mediumcontainspaid_search
Editing and deleting rules
Section titled “Editing and deleting rules”Each rule in the table has Edit and Delete buttons. Click Edit to modify any field, then click Save to apply changes or Cancel to discard them. Deletions cannot be undone.
Hiding default channels
Section titled “Hiding default channels”Once you have at least one custom mapping rule, two additional options appear:
- Hide all default channels — When checked, only your custom channel names appear in reports. Default channels created by fraud0 are hidden.
- Hide selected channels — A multi-select dropdown that lets you hide individual default channels while keeping the rest visible.
