Custom Query Parameters

If you use non-standard URL query parameters for tracking purposes — parameters specific to your website or organization — you can register them in fraud0 so they are captured and available in reports.

  1. Open the Management area in the fraud0 interface.
  2. Select the tag you want to configure.
  3. Click the Custom Query Parameters tab.

Click + New query parameter, type the parameter name, and click Save. Parameter names may contain alphanumeric characters, underscores, and dashes only.

Once saved, fraud0 will begin capturing the value of that URL parameter for every new session on the associated tag.

Each parameter in the table has Edit and Delete buttons. Deletions cannot be undone — once a parameter is removed, fraud0 stops capturing its value for future sessions.

Common use case: Google Ads placement tracking

Section titled “Common use case: Google Ads placement tracking”

A frequent use of custom query parameters is capturing Google Ads placement data via the {placement} ValueTrack parameter. After setting up a tracking template in Google Ads that appends placement={placement} to your URLs, register placement as a custom query parameter in fraud0 so you can analyze valid versus invalid traffic by the website where each ad click occurred.
